LAINE COLBERT DMC 1 ECH 8M

DMC Colbert 486 tapestry wool in Soft Blue 7035 is your ally for all canvas and tapestry projects. This 8 m thread in 100% virgin wool offers an incomparable richness of color, ideal for creating durable and elegant works on embroidery canvas.

Composition and qualities : 100% wool, this thick and regular thread is easily worked with a tapestry needle. Soft Blue 7035 has a soft, soothing shade, perfect for delicate backgrounds or patterns. French manufacturing : each spool is produced in France, guaranteeing traditional textile know-how. The 8m skein generously covers a medium sized area on Penelope or Aida canvas.

• Work on an embroidery canvas with 10 or 12 points per centimeter: the thread is inserted delicately without leaving any spaces.
• Limit the needles to 30 cm to prevent the wool from fraying at the ends.
• Combine several shades of blue to create a marine gradient or subtle shading on flowers.
• For optimal results, clean your finished work in cold water with a specialized mild soap, then leave to dry flat.
• Perfect for wall tapestries, chair pads or small embroidered leatherwork projects.

Combine this soft blue with neutral tones like pearl gray or ivory to highlight details, or combine it with warmer shades — ocher, terracotta — for a graphic contrast. DMC Colbert offers a rich palette for all styles of textile creations.
