Composition : 100% virgin wool, spun and dyed in France. This natural material offers generous thickness which quickly covers canvases, even the most open, and creates relief on the canvas. The 8 meter skein is ideal for medium-sized jobs — floral motifs, landscape details, retouching old tapestries — without waste or overstock. • Thread it onto canvas needles No. 18 to 22 depending on the stitch chosen and the density of your canvas.
• Never separate the strands: Colbert wool is always worked whole, which preserves its volume and opacity.
• For sharp contours, maintain regular, short tension; for a subtle gradient, play on the superposition of rows.
• Clean your finished works in lukewarm water with a mild soap, without wringing; dry flat on a towel.
• Combine several pistachio green 7549 with neutrals (pearl gray, beige, off-white) for a classic look, or dare to contrast with terracotta red or ocher for a more contemporary composition.

This wool goes naturally with regular linen fabrics or Penelope for cross stitch. Complete your work with Bohin tapestry needles and a tambour if you prefer to embroider on a frame — working comfort will be increased, especially during long sessions.
