COTON PERLE 1 ECH 25M (M)

A deep and rich purple, nuanced with almost black nuances, which brings a dramatic intensity to the works. This shade is particularly suitable for embroidery on linen or cotton where it creates contrast, detailed cross stitches or floral motifs. Pairing it with neutral tones like cream or pearl gray highlights its nobility, or pairing it with lighter purples to play on depth.

The Coton Perlé DMC n°5 is a twisted 100% cotton thread, composed of two inseparable strands which give it its characteristic “pearled” appearance. Its satin and silky feel brings volume and clear relief to each point, while its colorfast quality guarantees stable color over time and washes. Presented in a 25 m skein and made in France, it is available in more than 300 colors, including Dark Violet 327, which allows you to create precise color charts and gradients from one work to another.

• Work it in short needles, without exceeding 40 cm, to preserve its shine and prevent it from fraying.
• Use it as is, without dividing it into strands, for a regular finish and homogeneous shine.
• Use it for decorative stitches and Hardanger blocks, where the relief of the thread must remain clearly visible.
• Try it in cross-stitch on large-count canvas for a textured and luminous finish.
• Combine several dark purple and neighboring colors from the same range to create gradients within the same work.

This thread is naturally combined with an Aida canvas or a Penelope canvas, a ball point needle adapted to its thickness, as well as an embroidery drum to maintain regular tension while working on relief stitches and Hardanger finishes.
