DMC Perlé Cotton n°5 Ecru 997 offers a natural shine and impeccable hold for all your embroidery projects. This non-divisible thread is characterized by its twisted structure which gives it a smooth and regular texture, ideal for cross stitches, stem stitches and interlocking stitches. Made in France, it guarantees consistent quality and a stable color.

This 15 meter skein in 100% cotton can be worked as is, without separating the strands: this is its originality compared to the Mouliné Spécial. The color Écru 997 , in a neutral, slightly ivory shade, goes well with all patterns and canvas backgrounds. French manufacturing guarantees consistency of color and fastness to dyeing recognized by experienced embroiderers.

• Thread the needle with the full skein for a relief finish: perfect for thick outlines and elements that need to stand out.
• Test the needle length: 35 to 40 centimeters is enough, the thread slides better and does not lint at the end of the row.
• Combine it as an undercoat with Mouliné Spécial to create gradients of material and play on shine.
• Work on embroidery canvas (Aida 14 or Lin 32): Perlé n°5 covers widely without needing to double the thread.
• Wash in cold soapy water after embroidering to fix the color and preserve the shine of the cotton.

Combine this skein with Mouliné DMC for interesting texture plays, or with Coton Perlé n°8 to enrich the backgrounds: the contrast between the two sizes creates depth. Ecru 997 also works as a neutral anchor point on very colorful canvases.
