How to properly prepare for sewing elastic lace?

First we advise you to wash it by hand with a mild shampoo or mild detergent. It will be necessary to rinse it well and then place it in a towel to gently pat it dry. It is not a question of wringing it. Then let it dry flat. You can then iron it flat if you wish but with an iron at a low temperature. We advise you to use a damp cloth or another cotton fabric between the iron and the lace.

How to sew elastic floral lace?

MyMercerie elastic lace is very fine, a 60-70 needle will be more than enough to sew it. Regarding the thread, you can either use your polyester thread or a finer thread such as embroidery thread suitable for this type of support. As it is elastic lace, you can sew with a zigzag stitch or a straight stitch of about 2mm length.
