The DMC Tous Textiles 1004 sewing thread, color Blue 4794, is designed for universal assembly: cotton, linen, wool, synthetic, jersey, knit. Made in France, it guarantees impeccable fit by machine or by hand, in clothing sewing as well as in furniture alterations.

Composition 100% polyester high tenacity, this thread offers superior resistance to tears and repeated friction. Length of 500 meters on practical reel, ideal for medium to large-scale work without frequent reel changes. Produced in France, each spool meets standards of fineness and regularity which reassure demanding seamstresses.

The Blue 4794 color goes well with cold tones, pearl grays and off-whites. Its deep color never shines through light fabrics thanks to the density of polyester.

• Adjust the tension to the right side: this thread adapts to all machine settings without creating puckering on fine cotton or light knits.
• When sewing by hand, prepare 60 cm needles to avoid fraying and maintain constant tensile strength.
• For invisible alterations (trousers, dress hems), Blue 4794 disappears on navy blue or indigo canvas: test first on a scrap.
• Change the spool every 400 to 450 meters of active sewing: the full spool is enough for several projects or long quilting.
• Store away from direct light and humidity: polyester is stable, but the DMC label is best kept dry.
