• Adapt the tension of your machine according to the fabric: firmer on cotton, a notch less tight on knits to avoid puckering.
• For visible seams, work with stitches of regular length, between 2 and 2.5 mm: the thread will fit the mesh of the canvas without creating curves.
• Change your needle every three projects: a dull needle weakens the polyester and causes messy output.
• When assembling very thick fabrics, lightly heat your needle with an ice cube for a few seconds: the polyester slides better on a cooled needle.
• Keep your spool away from direct light and excessive humidity to preserve its natural elasticity over time.
