Composition and manufacturing: 100% virgin wool, made in France. Colbert wool is characterized by its regular thickness and controlled twist, which guarantees impeccable hold on even tight canvas. Does not separate into strands: it is used as is in full strand. This density makes it particularly suitable for small needles and fine canvases.

• Work on 14 or 18 stitches per inch canvas with a #22 tapestry needle for even, dense coverage.
• Combine Beige Cordage 7492 with light grays or warm browns to create harmonious gradients on floral or geometric patterns.
• For solid fillings, a maximum needle width of 40 cm limits friction and preserves the softness of the fiber.
• This neutral color goes well with pastel shades such as Prussian blues for a contrasting but elegant effect.
• Remember to stop your threads on the back of the canvas with a few stitches, rather than weaving them into the stitches: the wool unravels less easily.
