Description
A true ally of cross stitch and tapestry, this Colbert wool from DMC offers a rich and regular texture, ideal for covering embroidery canvases with confidence. The Daim 7273 color, a warm and nuanced beige-gray, brings depth to the works without hardening the general composition. Work with needles of 30 to 40 cm to preserve the shine of the fiber and avoid premature fraying.
100% virgin wool worked according to French know-how, this Colbert wool is characterized by regular fineness and fastness of dyes recognized for decades. The 8 m skein covers a generous area in needlepoint on canvas or embroidery canvas 10 to 14 threads per centimeter. Produced in France, it guarantees constant quality and reliability that only historic manufacturers can master.
- Separate the skein into two or three lengths to adapt the coverage density to your fine or large patterns.
- Use a sharp 18 to 20 needle to avoid damaging the fibers when penetrating the canvas.
- This suede beige-gray goes well with ochres, light taupes and rusty browns for harmonious compositions.
- Test washing dry or in cold soapy water to preserve the vibrancy of the color after your finished work.
- Ideal for completing diagonal stitches or solid areas on 10 thread canvas, where complete coverage remains the secret to a beautiful finish.
Combine this Suede 7273 with other Colbert shades in monochrome — pearl gray, ivory or light linen — to create subtle gradients in Beauvais point or passe point. Colbert DMC wool will also go well with tapestry wools from complementary ranges to expand your palette of colors.
