Natural wicker displays its neutral beige color, neither warm nor cold, which provides a solid foundation for any work. Subtle and discreet, it lets neighboring shades express themselves without competition. It goes well with both earthy tones and discreet pastels, creating soft contrasts. Ideal for composition backgrounds or to unify passages between distinct colors, it is particularly suitable for visible repeats which gain harmony with this benevolent neutrality.

DMC Mat Twisted Cotton is a thread 100% long fiber cotton , which gives it good hold over time and a nice regularity of stitch. Made up of 5 inseparable strands , it can be worked as is, without having to separate the threads, which simplifies the preparation of the work. Its matte, supple and soft-to-the-touch appearance comes from combing and buckling which prevent the thread from linting, for a clean result even after numerous passes through the canvas. Each skein measures 10 m, a length designed to limit connections on small canvas surfaces.

The Wicker color goes easily with a medium mesh canvas, an embroidery or tapestry frame, and ball point needles suitable for half stitch. For projects combining several materials, it can also be coordinated with Coton Perlé or Mouliné DMC threads in the same color palette.
