A dark, intense and deep polar blue, which catches the light without sparkling. This serious and reassuring shade is suitable for structured works: embroidery on linen, cross stitches on counted canvas, appliqués. It combines harmoniously with gray-blues and off-whites for balanced compositions, or creates contrast with ivories and warm tones.

A thick beaded thread for a textured finish

The DMC Perlé Cotton size no. 3 is the thickest of the four sizes in the range (3, 5, 8 and 12), which gives it a marked relief particularly suitable for decorative stitches. It is composed of two inseparable strands, twisted, offering a supple thread with a satin and silky touch which slides easily through the canvas. Its 100% cotton material ensures good hold and a nice shine, its manufacturing in France guarantees consistent quality from one color to another, and its Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification ensures use without risk for health and the environment. Presented in a 15 m skein, it can be worked directly, without a reel, for quick and easy use.

• Work in short needles, 40 cm maximum, to preserve the shine and twist of the yarn
