COTON PERLE 1 ECH 25M (M)

A deep blue with warm reflections, inspired by the wide open spaces of the Sahara. This intense and enveloping shade is suitable for embroiderers who are looking for a color of character, far from cold blues. It enhances cross stitches on thick canvas, trimmings and textile creations requiring a rich color. Pair with terracotta browns, golden ochres or off-whites to reveal its warm personality.

The Coton Perlé DMC n°5 is a twisted 100% cotton thread, composed of two inseparable strands which give it its characteristic “pearled” appearance. Its satin and silky feel brings volume and clear relief to each point, while its colorfast quality guarantees stable color over time and washes. Presented in 25 m skeins and made in France, it is available in more than 300 colors, including Tuareg Blue 826, which allows you to create precise color charts and gradients from one work to another.

• Work it in short needles, without exceeding 40 cm, to preserve its shine and prevent it from fraying.
• Use it as is, without dividing it into strands, for a regular finish and homogeneous shine.
• Use it for decorative stitches and Hardanger blocks, where the relief of the thread must remain clearly visible.
• Try it in cross-stitch on large-count canvas for a textured and luminous finish.
• Combine several Tuareg Blue and neighboring colors from the same range to create gradients within the same work.

This thread is naturally combined with an Aida canvas or a Penelope canvas, a ball point needle adapted to its thickness, as well as an embroidery drum to maintain regular tension while working on relief stitches and Hardanger finishes.
