COTON PERLE 1 ECH 25M (M)

A dark and icy blue, the dark fleece carries the severity of winter in every point. This deep, almost dark shade creates striking contrasts on light canvas or white linen. It is suitable for background embroidery, nocturnal foliage, and work that requires gravity. Combine it with grays or blacks to reinforce its mineral character, or with creamy whites for an unexpected delicacy.

The Coton Perlé DMC n°5 is a twisted 100% cotton thread, composed of two inseparable strands which give it its characteristic “pearled” appearance. Its satin and silky feel brings volume and clear relief to each point, while its colorfast quality guarantees stable color over time and washes. Presented in 25 m skeins and made in France, it is available in more than 300 colors, including Dark Polar Blue 311, which allows you to create precise color charts and gradients from one work to another.

• Work it in short needles, without exceeding 40 cm, to preserve its shine and prevent it from fraying.
• Use it as is, without dividing it into strands, for a regular finish and homogeneous shine.
• Use it for decorative stitches and Hardanger blocks, where the relief of the thread must remain clearly visible.
• Try it in cross-stitch on large-count canvas for a textured and luminous finish.
• Combine several Dark Polar Blue and neighboring colors from the same range to create gradients within the same work.

This thread is naturally combined with an Aida canvas or a Penelope canvas, a ball point needle adapted to its thickness, as well as an embroidery drum to maintain regular tension while working on relief stitches and Hardanger finishes.
