COTON PERLE 1 ECH 25M (M)

A bright scarlet red, vibrant and straightforward. This statement shade captures the intensity of true crimson, bringing an immediate presence to any project. It lends itself to embroidery that requires character: cross stitch, beaded chain, or marked lettering. Scarlet shines on an off-white or ivory background, and pairs with touches of gold or copper to create contrast.

The Coton Perlé DMC n°5 is a twisted 100% cotton thread, composed of two inseparable strands which give it its characteristic “pearled” appearance. Its satin and silky feel brings volume and clear relief to each point, while its colorfast quality guarantees stable color over time and washes. Presented in a 25 m skein and made in France, it is available in more than 300 colors, including Scarlet Red 666, which allows you to create precise color charts and gradients from one work to another.

• Work it in short needles, without exceeding 40 cm, to preserve its shine and prevent it from fraying.
• Use it as is, without dividing it into strands, for a regular finish and homogeneous shine.
• Use it for decorative stitches and Hardanger blocks, where the relief of the thread must remain clearly visible.
• Try it in cross-stitch on large-count canvas for a textured and luminous finish.
• Combine several Scarlet Red and neighboring colors from the same range to create gradients within the same work.

This thread is naturally combined with an Aida canvas or a Penelope canvas, a ball point needle adapted to its thickness, as well as an embroidery drum to maintain regular tension while working on relief stitches and Hardanger finishes.
