COTON PERLE 1 ECH 25M (M)

A mineral gray with slightly pink highlights, evoking stone worn by time. This subtle shade is suitable for delicate embroidery, cross stitching on Aida or linen, and pairs beautifully with off-whites or taupe hues for a sophisticated and timeless effect.

The Coton Perlé DMC n°5 is a twisted 100% cotton thread, composed of two inseparable strands which give it its characteristic “pearled” appearance. Its satin and silky feel brings volume and clear relief to each point, while its colorfast quality guarantees stable color over time and washes. Presented in a 25 m skein and made in France, it is available in more than 300 colors, including Pumice Gray 3072, which allows you to create precise color charts and gradients from one work to another.

• Work it in short needles, without exceeding 40 cm, to preserve its shine and prevent it from fraying.
• Use it as is, without dividing it into strands, for a regular finish and homogeneous shine.
• Use it for decorative stitches and Hardanger blocks, where the relief of the thread must remain clearly visible.
• Try it in cross-stitch on large-count canvas for a textured and luminous finish.
• Combine several Pumice Gray colors and neighbors from the same range to create gradients within the same work.

This thread goes naturally with an Aida canvas or a Penelope canvas, a ball-point needle adapted to its thickness, as well as an embroidery drum to maintain regular tension while working on relief stitches and Hardanger finishes.
