COTON PERLE 1 ECH 25M (M)

A luminous and tranquil azure blue, which captures the clarity of the summer sky. This clear shade is suitable for delicate stitches: embroiderers of small floral motifs, lovers of miniatures on linen, creators of textile jewelry. It combines harmoniously with off-white for soothing contrasts, or with sea green for a fresh, rural atmosphere.

The Coton Perlé DMC n°5 is a twisted 100% cotton thread, composed of two inseparable strands which give it its characteristic “pearled” appearance. Its satin and silky feel brings volume and clear relief to each point, while its colorfast quality guarantees stable color over time and washes. Presented in 25 m skeins and made in France, it is available in more than 300 colors, including Bleu d'azur 3325, which allows you to compose precise color charts and gradients from one work to another.

• Work it in short needles, without exceeding 40 cm, to preserve its shine and prevent it from fraying.
• Use it as is, without dividing it into strands, for a regular finish and homogeneous shine.
• Use it for decorative stitches and Hardanger blocks, where the relief of the thread must remain clearly visible.
• Try it in cross-stitch on large-count canvas for a textured and luminous finish.
• Combine several Azure Blue and neighboring colors from the same range to create gradients within the same work.

This thread is naturally combined with an Aida canvas or a Penelope canvas, a ball point needle adapted to its thickness, as well as an embroidery drum to maintain regular tension while working on relief stitches and Hardanger finishes.
