Description
Lièvre cultivates a subtle alliance between gray and warm beige, a discreet shade which fades onto the fabric without ever tarnishing the work. On linen or cotton canvas, it goes as well with earthy tones as with off-whites. Perfect for repairs on old parts or delicate points requiring great invisibility.
A thread designed to last
This DMC darning thread is 100% cotton , a natural fiber which offers good wear resistance while remaining soft in contact with the skin. It comes in a ball of 10 g , or approximately 62.5 meters, sufficient yardage for several attempts without having to change balls during work. Made in France, it is suitable for all types of textiles, from the lightest to the thickest, and allows you to tackle the most delicate repairs with a clean and discreet finish.
- Darn socks, sweaters and t-shirts by matching Hare to the color of the fabric for an invisible repair
- On the contrary, opt for a marked contrast if you wish to transform the repeat into a visible and decorative detail
- Use it to consolidate hems, weakened seams or tears on household linens
- Pass the thread over a piece of beeswax before threading it to facilitate passage through the needle
- Keep several colors on hand to intervene quickly as soon as a garment wears out
This thread pairs naturally with a long-eyed darning needle, a wooden darning egg to tighten the fabric, fine pins and a pair of sharp sewing scissors. It also usefully complements a sewing box already equipped with classic sewing threads, to cover both routine maintenance and finer repairs.
