COTON PERLE RETORS D'ALSACE 25G N°12 1 ECH

A deep, intense and pure cobalt blue, which captures the richness of a precious mineral. This strong shade is suitable for embroidery that requires presence, for chain stitches and geometric patterns. It pairs beautifully with off-whites for more lightness, or warm ochres for a sophisticated contrast.

Coton Perlé DMC Retors d'Alsace n°12 is a 100% cotton thread composed of two twisted strands, obtained from long-fiber Egyptian cotton and double mercerization which gives it a durable satin shine and appreciable resistance over time. Its large skein of 25 g (approximately 300 m) allows you to embroider long surfaces without interruption or thread splicing, a valuable asset for Hardanger embroidery and large projects. Made in France and Oeko-Tex certified, it slides easily through the fabric without knotting or twisting, and can be washed at up to 95° for easy daily care.

Instructions for use

• Cut needles of 40 cm maximum to preserve the fiber of the thread
• Use this thread for Hardanger embroidery, openwork or white embroidery
• Work it in stem stitch or cross stitch for a marked relief effect
• Mix sizes 5, 8 and 12 on the same work to create contrast
• Reserve Cobalt Blue for monograms and finishes that require precision and shine

This thread pairs naturally with Aida canvas or embroidery linen, a rounded-point embroidery needle and a tambour to keep the fabric taut while working.
