Assembling a thin fabric or reinforcing a thick seam requires reliable and regular thread. • Thread the spool onto the spool pin and check the thread tension before starting: a slight demonstration is enough to adjust the balance of the stitches.
• Use it for assembly sewing as well as overlocking for finishing stretch seams: polyester does not lint and will hold up to repeated washing.
• Combine yellow 4559 with a matching thread in pale yellow for gradients, or with a neutral thread (beige 739) for invisible seams on pieces interacting with yellow.
• Test the color fastness before sewing your delicate fabrics with chlorine: DMC polyester is resistant to common detergents, but yellow dyes can be sensitive to bleach.
• Change the needle every two spools of the same diameter to avoid breakages and poorly formed stitches, particularly when sewing quickly by machine.
