The DMC Tous Textiles 1006 sewing thread in black is made of 100% polyester , a material that resists repeated washing and thermal shock from ironing. This 30 m spool allows you to create neat assemblies on cotton, linen, synthetic or blends. Natural black integrates discreetly into your visible seams as well as your interior anchor points.

This polyester thread can be worked with a needle or a sewing machine. Its regular thickness and balanced twist prevent knots and promote smooth gliding through the fabric, even on thick materials.

• Thread your fine needle for delicate fabrics, or a higher number needle for denim and thick fabrics.
• On the machine, set a medium tension: this polyester thread does not appreciate too tight settings which create gathers.
• For invisible finishes, use short needles (35 to 40 cm) to prevent the thread from linting when passing through the fabric repeatedly.
• Keep this thread away from excessive humidity: polyester is less harmful than cotton, but a closed box extends its life in the workshop.
