The Brown 4227 color harmonizes with neutral canvases, terracotta shades and natural palettes. 500 m spool, this thread covers an entire medium-sized project without changing color — an asset for visible seams or important assemblies.

100% polyester thread made in France, designed for machine and hand sewing. Its tensile strength makes it ideal for demanding fabrics: linen, sailcloth, corduroy. The absence of shrinkage after washing guarantees stable seams over time, even after numerous machine washes at 40°C or more. Regular thickness guaranteed over 500 meters.

• Wind a length of approximately 50 cm with the needle to prevent the thread from fraying as you pass the stitches.
• Pass the thread through a moistener before sewing to smooth the sliding on thick fabrics and reduce friction.
• Test the tension on a scrap of fabric before sewing the final piece: polyester thread sometimes requires a slight adjustment on old machines.
• Brun 4227 creates discreet seams on camel, beige and gray canvases, or assertive contrasts on light denim.
• Store the spool away from direct light to preserve the color tone over time.

Combine this thread with DMC or Prym needles of a gauge suitable for your fabric (80 for fine muslins, 100 or 110 for standard cottons, 120 for thick canvases). A bead threader or magnetic guide wire speeds up threading of needles on old machines or delicate parts.
