Its 100% polyester composition gives it a metallic shine that resists well to stitching, where a simple shiny thread would tend to tarnish. Our tips for using it properly

• Tie a small simple knot in the eye of the needle to lock the thread and reduce friction, which preserves its shine for longer.
• Separate the strands one by one before reassembling the desired number, the thread will then slide more easily through the fabric.
• Work with lengths of wire that are short enough to limit wear on the metallized strand when passing repeatedly through the eye.
• Reserve this thread for highlights and finishes to concentrate its luminous effect on areas that should catch the eye.
• Combine metallic heather with a classic cotton mouliné to nuance the shine on large embroidered surfaces.
