Teak evokes precious woods and timeless furniture: a warm brown shade with golden highlights which gives a natural elegance. It is suitable for classic works, cross stitches on beige or ecru canvas, and combines harmoniously with ivory, ocher or chocolate to create balanced and sophisticated compositions.

The Mouliné Satin DMC is a 100% rayon embroidery thread which owes its mirror shine and silky feel to this particular fiber, for a more intense shine than that of a classic cotton mouliné. Each 8 m skein is made up of 6 easily separable strands, which allows you to adapt the thickness of the thread according to the desired effect, from delicate detail to generous filling. Dyed with fade-resistant dyes, it retains its shine even after washing at 30°C, a real guarantee of durability for works designed to last.

• Use a single strand for fine details and bright highlights on a delicate pattern.
• Separate the 6 strands and reassemble two or three for a particularly brilliant cross stitch.
• Reserve this thread for areas that you want to highlight, in contrast with a matte strand.
• Combine several colors like Teak in the same work to play on the reflections of light.
• Favor flat paste or encroaching paste to fully reveal the shine of the fiber.

This satin thread goes naturally with the classic DMC mouliné, of which it uses the 6-strand structure, as well as with linen or cotton embroidery canvases. It also nicely complements pearl cottons and haberdashery ribbons on baby clothes, household linen or accessories.
