FIL SATIN - 1 ECH 8M

A bright and airy sky blue that captures the serenity of a beautiful day. This soft shade works well with delicate embroidery, chain stitches and light appliqués. It goes naturally with cream white for a vaporous effect, or with pearl gray for more distinction. Perfect for floral designs, landscapes or timeless works.

The Mouliné Satin DMC is a 100% rayon embroidery thread which owes its mirror shine and silky feel to this particular fiber, for a more intense shine than that of a classic cotton mouliné. Each 8 m skein is made up of 6 easily separable strands, which allows you to adapt the thickness of the thread according to the desired effect, from delicate detail to generous filling. Dyed with fade-resistant dyes, it retains its shine even after washing at 30°C, a real guarantee of durability for works designed to last.

• Use a single strand for fine details and bright highlights on a delicate pattern.
• Separate the 6 strands and reassemble two or three for a particularly brilliant cross stitch.
• Reserve this thread for areas that you want to highlight, in contrast with a matte strand.
• Combine several colors like Sky Blue in the same work to play on the reflections of light.
• Favor flat paste or encroaching paste to fully reveal the shine of the fiber.

This satin thread goes naturally with the classic DMC mouliné, of which it uses the 6-strand structure, as well as with linen or cotton embroidery canvases. It also nicely complements pearl cottons and haberdashery ribbons on baby clothes, household linen or accessories.
