For a generously knitted canvas or a classic tapestry, Colbert DMC wool offers dense and regular coverage. Anthracite gray 7624 can be used as a background color or as a structuring detail, depending on your composition. This wool works alone or in combination with other shades in the range to create subtle gradients.

Composition and characteristics : 8 meter skein in 100% wool , made in France by DMC. The natural fiber offers a warm touch and a soft shine that enhances every point. Colbert 486 wool largely covers a canvas surface - allow approximately 1 to 2 skeins per 10 x 10 cm square depending on the density of your work and the canvas used.

This anthracite gray color 7624 goes well with neutral tones like off-white, ivory or taupe, as well as deep blues and terracotta for a timeless look. Work with a canvas or embroidery needle, depending on the fineness of the stitches on your support.

• Use a needle suitable for the fabric to avoid splitting the fiber and preserve its flexibility.
• Needles of 40 to 50 cm limit lint and ensure regular tension on your stitches.
• For an effect of depth, superimpose anthracite gray 7624 with a lighter tone from the same color universe.
• Test on a small sample before starting if you are unsure of the contrast with your canvas.
• Maintenance is done by gentle washing in cold water, drying flat.

Combine this wool with a good density canvas (10 points per cm minimum) and complete your palette with Colbert wools in lighter gray or neutral tone for shading.
