Description
For a tapestry that lasts over time, Colbert DMC 486 wool is the natural choice for embroiderers. This pure wool thread offers remarkable strength, ideal for cross-stitch work on canvas or for needle embroidery on coarse canvas. The faded lilac color 7210 displays a subtle shade, half pink, half mauve, which soothes compositions without tarnishing them.
Made of 100% virgin wool , this 8 meter skein is divided into four strands to adapt the density to your work: use the four strands together for a dense and quick stitch, or separate them for details and fine gradients. Made in France , it guarantees stable dyeing and regular fiber, with no surprises throughout the project. The natural thickness of Colbert makes it pleasant to handle and makes it less slippery than bristles.
- Separate the four strands according to the desired effect: four together for an opaque point, two or three for more transparency and finesse.
- On embroidery canvas with 10 or 12 points per centimeter, this wool is applied effortlessly and quickly covers surfaces.
- Faded Lilac 7210 combines in gradient with dusty pinks or mauve grays for a very couture velvety gradient.
- For optimal care, wash your work in lukewarm water with a mild soap; Colbert wool fears too hot water and drying in the heat.
- Ideal for small surfaces or accessories: embroidered bracelets, cases, small canvas cushions.
Combine this wool with embroidery needles no. 18 or 20 depending on the desired thickness, and linen or medium density embroidery canvases. For a harmonious result, complete with other shades of Colbert DMC: cool mauves, powder pinks or nuanced grays accentuate the delicacy of faded lilac without overwhelming the composition.
