This deep red, with accents of wine lees, exudes the warmth of earthy tones. This is a color that takes on all its richness on dense canvases or cross-stitch, particularly for patterns of fruit, autumn foliage or refined floral arrangements. It is easily combined with plum shades, lighter burgundy, or even chestnut browns to create vibrant gradients.

DMC Mat Twisted Cotton is a thread 100% long fiber cotton , which gives it good hold over time and a nice regularity of stitch. Made up of 5 inseparable strands , it can be worked as is, without having to separate the threads, which simplifies the preparation of the work. Its matte, supple and soft-to-the-touch appearance comes from combing and buckling which prevent the thread from linting, for a clean result even after numerous passes through the canvas. Each skein measures 10 m, a length designed to limit connections on small canvas surfaces.

The Wine Red color goes easily with a medium-mesh canvas, an embroidery or tapestry frame, and ball-point needles suitable for half-point. For projects combining several materials, it can also be coordinated with Coton Perlé or Mouliné DMC threads in the same color palette.
