COTON PERLE 1 PEL 10G (S)

A blue with dark and intense tones, inspired by the Nordic fjords. This serious and majestic shade gives a remarkable presence to the embroidery stitches, revealing all the characteristic shine of Perlé Cotton. It accompanies creations with a refined, geometric or minimalist style. Combine with ecru or white for soothing contrasts, or with warm tones as light accents.

This pearl cotton is a 100% mercerized cotton thread, twisted and non-divisible : unlike mouliné, it is worked as is, without separating strands, which gives each stitch a clean and regular relief. Its No. 8 size is between No. 5, thicker, and No. 12, finer, an intermediate gauge which is suitable for both delicate patterns and more pronounced finishes. The 10 g ball rolls out continuously, without any connections to manage during work, which makes large areas as well as small repeats easier. Its satin finish catches the light and highlights the texture of the embroidery, while its manufacturing in France guarantees consistency of quality from one ball to another.

This 10 g pearl cotton goes well with linen or cotton embroidery canvases, as well as with ball point needles adapted to its caliber. To enrich the same work, it can be combined with Mouliné Spécial DMC thread in a shade close to the Fjord Blue color, or completed with embroidery beads for a textured and contrasting finish.
