COTON PERLE 1 ECH 25M (M)

An intense and pronounced magenta pink which imposes its presence on the canvas. This generous shade is suitable for intentional creations: pointillist embroidery with marked contrasts, cross stitches on cheesecloth, stylized flowers in medium format. Dark magenta plays on saturation with its lighter variations or combines with ecru, taupe gray or raw white tones for refined compositions.

The Coton Perlé DMC n°5 is a twisted 100% cotton thread, composed of two inseparable strands which give it its characteristic “pearled” appearance. Its satin and silky feel brings volume and clear relief to each point, while its colorfast quality guarantees stable color over time and washes. Presented in a 25 m skein and made in France, it is available in more than 300 colors, including Dark Magenta Pink 915, which allows you to create precise color charts and gradients from one work to another.

• Work it in short needles, without exceeding 40 cm, to preserve its shine and prevent it from fraying.
• Use it as is, without dividing it into strands, for a regular finish and homogeneous shine.
• Use it for decorative stitches and Hardanger blocks, where the relief of the thread must remain clearly visible.
• Try it in cross-stitch on large-count canvas for a textured and luminous finish.
• Combine several dark magenta pink and neighboring colors from the same range to create gradients within the same work.

This thread is naturally combined with an Aida canvas or a Penelope canvas, a ball point needle adapted to its thickness, as well as an embroidery drum to maintain regular tension while working on relief stitches and Hardanger finishes.
