Description
For assembling lightweight clothing or sewing fine canvas accessories, this DMC Tubino 623B sewing thread offers reliable strength without unnecessary thickness. The Violet 2862 color, a deep purple and slightly bluish, blends elegantly with both light fabrics and warm tones, without creating an unsightly contrast.
Composition and performance. This 100% cotton thread of 100 meters can be worked with a machine needle or by hand. Made in France, it benefits from rigorous quality control: the fibers are regularly twisted to ensure uniform tension and limit the formation of knots during sewing. The medium diameter is suitable for needle sizes 70 to 90 on domestic machines. Pre-spooled on a compact support, it can be stored without taking up space in the sewing box.
- Thread your needle with a maximum length of 40 cm to prevent the thread from rubbing excessively on itself and fluffing over the stitches.
- Use this purple for regular backstitching on denim, poplin or linen: the neutral tone allows the seam to blend into the material.
- Test on a scrap of fabric before sewing the garment: the absorption of the cotton fiber varies depending on the weave and the shade may appear lighter or darker once the first centimeters have been made.
- Combine it with an identical purple or a pearl gray for the visible stitching that structures a pocket or a collar.
- Wash the finished garment in lukewarm water with a mild detergent: cotton holds up well, but very hot water can slightly change the color of the thread over time.
Pair this Violet 2862 with gold wooden or whitish mother-of-pearl buttons to accentuate the effect of depth. On a jacket or blouse, this thread calms warm colors and lets delicate fabrics breathe.
