DMC Perlé Cotton Retors d'Alsace n°8 rose ash 3042 is an exceptional embroidery thread, made in France using Alsatian know-how passed down for generations. This subtle color, between gray and powder pink, brings a timeless softness to the most delicate works.

Unlike Mouliné Spécial, Coton Perlé does not separate into strands: it is worked as is, as a single, shiny thread. Its characteristic pearl texture creates a distinctive raised finish that highlights each point. Made of 100% cotton , it offers remarkable tenacity and will not lint during embroidery. This ball of 25 g can be stored without deterioration and is suitable for cross stitch, rough stitch or free stitch.

The rose ash shade 3042 naturally matches ecru fabrics, natural linen and off-white cotton. It also goes well with gray blues for a discreet gradient or with warm beiges for more harmony.

• Work with medium length needles (No. 24 or 26) so that the thread slides without fraying at the edges of the canvas holes.
• On 18 points per cm² canvas, use 45 to 50 cm needlepoints to preserve the shine of the thread without weakening it.
• Apply this thread in occasional touches: a few dots of rose ash are enough to create subtle depth without overloading the work.
• For a densified cross stitch, use two superimposed lengths of thread; for a delicate point, just one.
• Wash the finished item in lukewarm water with a mild soap, without wringing; the yarn retains its pearl shine after drying.

Combine this thread with Coton Perlé pearl gray 3041 or snow white B5200 for a refined monochrome pattern. The Mouliné Special ranges in coordinated colors (gray and pink color charts) also perfectly complement this authentic Alsatian base, made in France.
